There is a growing worldwide necessity for Certified Legal
Nurse InvestigatorsCM
due to the increasing number of suspicious deaths, trauma
and other forms of abuse, to include errors made in
hospitals and nursing homes. Many times, nurses are the ones
who spend more time than physicians evaluating patients for
signs of abuse through either intentional acts or
unintentional error (medical malpractice). There is a
published statistical evidence which shows over 98,000
patients die prematurely each year in the United States from
errors and medical negligence. Many more cases are never
reported, but are covered up to prevent lawsuits and
negative opinions about health care facilities.
